Anna:
I hope y'all will be finishing Homecoming,
as it's a great story.
Priya:
Oh gosh, PLEASE FINISH IT! It is a great
story. I mean, it shows you the truth. Luke and Leia weren't going
to get along perfectly when one twin believed something about
their father. It was hilarious how Han was the guy keeping Luke
and Leia together.
Nancy:
PLEEEEEEEASE FINISH THE STORY.
jen4934:
Cool! I always wondered what would happen
if and when the twins found Naboo. Keep up the good work!
Noni:
love love love love love LOVE this!!!!
But what a cliffhanger!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!! man, that's just torture!
::SIGH:: Here are the bits in particular i want to point out as
especially great:
A lot of the lines are so very Han Solo (He was ready to tell
the whole lot of them they could take their judgments, and shove
them so far even Chewie's strength couldn't pull them out..) HAHAAHAHAHA!!!
love it!!! Also loved the part where leia kisses him in front
of everyone......a pleasant surprise for him, as well as me! Another
thing i loved was han's thoughts (when they 1st arrive at the
palace) about his feelings for leia......the 12 year old boy mixed
with the maturity of a man........ all great stuff!!!
The fireplace scene between Han and Leia........awesome!!!! I
had tears in my eyes at 1 point. And their bantering throughout
is perfect: ("And Lando charmed so many women, he won't be lonely
for a long time. I, of course, was utterly faithful to you." Han
gave her his best innocent look. "Please, before I'm ill, what
did you find?" )
The fight between Leia and Luke was also amazing, as well as their
reactions to it. I also thoroughly enjoyed the way they make up.
That scene with the mass grave was OUTSTANDING!!! Rabe's story
brought tears to my eyes, and Leia's reaction was wonderful, and
so was the way Luke went after her and talked her out of it.
(Chapter 7 review:)
Excellent, very powerful! Luke's calling Jaron a liar took me
by surprise!!!! And gave me the chills! How unexpected and effective!
Rabe yelling the names of each handmaiden and then Amidala's at
Jaron as he tries to escape her accusations: AWESOME!
I would have to paste the entire chapter in to list all the moments
I loved, so I'll just say INCREDIBLE! It definitely gave me the
chills! Very, very powerful and vivid!
Phenomonal job, really!!!! You must write faster, not to pressure
you or anything. ;)
ShivaSaavik:
I loved it! You have to finish this story!
My particular favorite was the recollection of Vader's hunt for
Amidala. There were tears in my eyes. And then I reached: "They
deserved it." Wow. That was ... wow.
It was riviting, enthralling ... Jaron yelling at Rabe while she
said every name ... Luke calling Jaron a liar ... Leia finally
getting the truth ... Jaron killing them all. I could see it all
happening. All of it. Luke and Leia trying desperately to expose
him, Rabe full of sorrow. There were tears in my eyes again. I
look forward to the next segment.
(for last chapter): What a fantastic conclusion! I loved Rabe's
reaction to Faren and Luke coming in late, her final acceptance
of Luke, and her warning about what would happen if he hurts her
daughter. Luke silently repeating Don’t let the ship breakdown
now, don’t let the ship breakdown now. LOL!!! The flashback to
Amidala telling the handmaidens was very nice, especially since
we all know what is coming. It’s bittersweet. I love the end,
especially Threepio’s reaction. It’s a wonderful story with all
the necessary elements. I think you’ve captured the characteristics
of everybody perfectly.
Laura:
I originally started reading this story
on fanfiction.net where I said that it was the best story on that
topic and I really meant it! And because of that I visited this
website and read chapter 1-7. It´s really good and I have to say
that I never enjoyed a story more! Please continue quickly because
I can´t wait for the next part! What will happen to that damn
king?
Valerie:
I went to your site after starting the
story after fanfiction.net and read what you have up there. I
really like it a lot! It gets better and better. You had me crying
at one point!
Don Barbee:
A great yarn and very well crafted. I
lost sleep last night reading it. Thanks for publishing it on
the web.
FrustratedWriter:
The best compliment I can give you is
this: G. Lucas should seriously consider adapting this as a screenplay.
Alix D.:
I recently read your Star Wars fic, Homecoming,
on fanfiction.net. I loved it! It was so powerful and emotional,
I never pictured Amidala's death like that. I dont know much about
the handmaidens' characters, but I think you captured Rabe wonderfully.
Priya:
It was awesome, and I am not just saying
that. I was laughing, and enjoying it for an hour afterwords.
I thought the passage with Han reassuring Faren ... about Skywalkers...
was awesome. Well, it was roundabout reassuring.
Sarah:
An excellent story! I think your stuff
is excellent! There are so few writers who can get *all* the mains
down. I was really impressed! My favourite scene is definitely
the conversation Han and Leia had at the end of chapter 4 (I think)
- it's very rare you see them in fanfic having an actual conversation...it
struck me as being very real to life. And also you're the first
author I think to pair Luke up with someone who didn't grate my
nerves. You write some of the best Han/Leia/Luke I've ever seen,
pro or otherwise! :)
Michele:
Just had to write and tell you how much
I enjoyed Homecoming. It had all the essential components for
a great story -- romance for Luke, an acceptance of her father
for Leia, resolution of Amidala's fate, even the role of peacemaker
for Han. I'm almost sorry to see the story end, and hope someday
we'll see a sequel.
Julie:
I really enjoyed reading "Homecoming".
What I like about your writing is how accomplished it is. You
have good ideas, and you express them well. You do a good job
of balancing action and character development/interaction. I don't
like stories that sacrifice character development just to keep
the plot moving at a fast pace. I also like the way you incorporated
humor into the story. That is something Lucas did so well with
the original Star Wars trilogy. What I liked best about the story
itself is that you are having Luke train Leia as a Jedi. In the
entire Star Wars book series, from the end of "Return of the Jedi"
to the current New Jedi Order series, there has never been a definitive
reason given for why Leia has never done more Jedi training. This
has always bugged me. Your sequels are going to cover new ground,
and that is going to be interesting reading. We'll see how Leia's
Jedi training goes, how Han handles it, what happens to the relationships
of Han and Leia, and Luke and Faren, and how progress goes with
the Alderaani's new planet. Keep up the great writing.
Castalia:
A magnificent account of what could befall
Luke and Leia while visiting the planet of their mother's birth!
Your plot line was creative, multi-layered, solid and flowed beautifully!
All the while, you still managed to interweave a plethora of new
and richly developed characters and have them each play a realistic
role in the development of your story.
Not only did you tackle the impact of the twin's return to Naboo
on a political level, you also seamlessly depicted the character
interactions that made the original trilogy a classic and plausibly
dealt with the mystery surrounding Amidala's death. You explored
relationships between siblings, lovers and life-long friends with
just the right depth of emotion and often, with just the right
amount of humor as well! But most importantly, you did so without
falling prey to the contrived use of super-adept Force sensitive
children and/or invincible Imperial weaponry that has so plagued
the pro-novels for the past few years.
All in all, a very impressive piece that is worthy of Lucas' himself.
Bravisimo!
Lady Mercury:
Hi! Wonderful story. I really liked to
part when Han and Leia visited the cabin, that was very lovely;)
I enjoyed very much reading the story, it was very well written,
I could really see Luke, Leia, Han and the rest before me;)!!!
Erik Gidewall:
I loved homecoming because it is apart of the universe of star wars.
This story reflects on every star wars fan dreams or wishes "Will Luke and
Leia get to know who there mother was?". I would like to see both its prequel
and sequel soon! keep these fantastic stories coming.

Well I just finished reading all 10 chapters and I figured that you
deserved a review. :) Wow.. it was really long but it was worth it. I really
enjoyed it. It was nice to see some of the past and how Luke and Leia delt with
returning to Theed and the palace where their mother was. Good job. :)
Earthworm:submitted to ffn
Amazing! This was great; how did I miss this when it was first posted?
I'm glad someone asked me if I'd read it. The characterizations, were great,
and I especially liked Han. I think he's a tough character, and you did an
absolutely marvelous job with him. I only wished you had developed Jaron as a
villain more thoroughly. I wasn't convinced that he would spill the beans so easily,
after killing all those people.
PrincessSkywalkerOrgana:submitted to ffn
I was reading this for the gazillionth time, and thought about how great it was for the gazillionth time.adn thought i should tell you for the twentieth time.
"Lando periodically gave up the copilot's seat to one of the Naboo while Luke
silently repeated a mantra of Don't let the ship breakdown now, don't let the ship
breakdown now." This story has all the key elements, humor, seriousness, and life
lessons. Proclaim it through all the land, Kerjen is the one of the best authors to live.
Heather Pearce:
I really, really, really loved this story. I would be great if one
day you had time to write a prequel or a sequel. Thanks for a great read.
CdL:
Amazing, utterly amazing!
That's all I can say!
I'm in love with this!
LeelooJinn:
I just had to let you know that I thoroughly enjoyed reading this . I had
often wondered how Luke and Leia would react in regards to actually being on Naboo,
surrounded by their mother's people. I laughed and cried in a few spots and wanted
to thank you for writing such a wonderful story. It definitely is on my favorites
list!
Saavik:
This was great! I should have read this ages ago! I really loved it.
Unlike most of the novels, Luke is still part farmboy and not sad-melancholy
Jedi-that-has-seen-to-much. It was refreshing.
Jenny:
Hey chic! I just finished this. I loved it. Please tell me there is more. I love Faren and Luke together. They complement each other so well.
I love your interpretation of Han and Leia, too. I really loved Han and Faren's last discussion of the black hole of loving a Jedi and a Skywalker. It was just great.
So, is there more of this? You know I'm tapping my fingers very, very impatiently...
Lynn:
- That was... Haunting, I think is the word. In a very brilliant way. Seriously, the fates of Amidala and her handmaidens, and the mass grave and everything... Shudder. But in a good way. What I mean is that it really got to me.. Anyway, I loved your characterisation of everybody, espesially Leia, Luke and Han. This has got to be one of the best SW fics I've ever read, and I'm sure your other SW story's great too. I hope you'll write more SW fanfiction sometime.

rest coming out? I've always wondered how Leia would take Vader
being her father and his return to the Light, and I've always
wanted to see them learn about their mother!!

::AngelQueen sits at her computer, shaking
with rage and whispering the Jedi Code over and over again:: There
is no emotion, there is peace... Ack! Heck with it! Death to Jaron!!!
Kill him Rabé, kill him!!!! No, on second thought, unleash this
to the people, let them decide what to do with him!! I'm postitive
that once they find out that it was him that killed their beloved
Queen, her handmaidens, and their families *and the troops* they'll
be calling for his head! I know I would!!! This is a great chapter!
I definitely can't wait to see what happens!!! Death to Jaron...
I think I'll temporarily go Sith and kill him myself! Hmm... how

thought about before, and they really make you think. And last
but not least, Luke and Faren. Hurray for them! I like Faren's
character, and I think she fits well with Luke. Great job, keep

Diane:
Hello, Kerjen. Your hard work on Homecoming really shows. You mentioned in the authors notes that this story took an entire year to write, I believe it.
I can't help wondering if you have siblings of your own, since you managed Luke and Leia's relationship (and the arguments) so well. I am reminded of my own family.
Also, I was very pleased that you didn't turn this into a sappy romance. It needed the romantic parts that it contained, but you stayed away from excessive Harlequin-esc images, for which I thank you.
This story shows a lot of fore thought and it fits very well with the way things might have gone after ROTJ (also, with the exception of a few minor details, it also fits with both TPM and AOTC. That must have taken a lot of work since, by your own admission, you had little knowedge of AOTC before hand.
Good Work!
your fan, Diane
