- I've read this piece several times and it never loses it's charm. You have
captured the characters very well, and I must say, I can sympathize with Saavik.

I LOVE THIS FIC!! Everytime I read it, it gives me a big grin and a tug at my heartstrings.
The humor is right on starting with "What is the thermal temperature of hell?".
That's right on character and I never could have thought of a way for a Vulcan to say
"When hell freezes over". And as a married person, I laughed out loud with the
"T'hy'la--", "Do not t'hy'la me.", and "Saavik-", "Do not Saavik me either." Oh, I've said those
lines to my husband and had them said to me!! The writer keeps us chuckling and grinning and then hits
us with that last laugh on the last line. Perfect!
And the other great thing is how, in the middle of making us smile broadly, the author gives us tenderness with lines such as
"If I unlock the door, will you hold me for a short duration?" "If you unlock the door,
you will find it difficult to prevent me." Just beautiful.
Great job on showing on something so simple as using nothing but dialogue can be well written,
entertaining, and tender.

using only dialogue. It was humourous and showed the love btw. those two at
the same time. Good job, Marla!
Plus, I loved the image of Spock coaxing Saavik out. Definitely not
something he'd ever picture himself doing.

I LOVE IT!! I laughed so hard my 11 year old son came
upstairs to see what I was laughing at. I'm a divorced mother of 3. They are wild,
crazy, smart, stubborn, persistent, inventive
and wise beyond their years. They have a lot more energy than me, but they are sweet,
completely loveable and hold the key to my heart. I would expect Spock and Saavik's
children to be the same!
