No. Stop it. I will not like her. I refuse to like her. She is the
anti-Saavik.
Okay this was well written and interesting. I have wondered what
Saavik was doing in there. Now I wonder, who was Valeris meeting? Her
name is Klingon? Didn't know, but could explain a lot. No. I will not
like her.
I will not like her as Saavik's friend, I will not like her as you
intend.
Please do not make me understand her. I am afraid. (Please don't
throw me in the briar patch.)
Nice, Marla.

Wonderful fic, Marla. I especially like the bit about the names. Yep, she's
Vulcan all right. *giggles* I like how you captured the difference between
the two of them. Valeris wants to be a proper Vulcan, denying her
upbringing, while Saavik has accepted her heritage and is no more, no less
than it.
I really liked how Marla played Saavik and Valeris off
each other. It's obvious that Saavik had accepted her Romulan
heritage by now. Valeris hadn't reached that point yet. She hadn't
had the chance to accept her Klingon upbringing and move on. Saavik
helped her start down that path. Bravo!

Seeds was great, to see Saavik helping someone like she had been
helped. And so sad to know the betrayal to come. And it's nice to
see the acceptance that both of them need. They both are not "proper
Vulcans." And people remind them of this fact. A welcome feeling
for both of them. Friendship, and especially a female friend near
the same age. Now, these two having girl talk? Not most people's
ideas of girl talk. That's a thought b/c Saavik had few friends (and
they were killed off, and we don't see many friends as far as
Valeris. And I don't really picture her as valuing friends for
themselves, I think she'd always be looking at what can this person
and this "friendship" do for me.

A beautiful piece of work, like most of what you do. Keep it up!!!

I could really see it happening this way. You have written a beautiful story -- and the words seem to just flow, only pausing to indicate the awkwardness Valeris feels. Wonderful!
